When I first started this I was the only person at the time to be doing it and it had only been done by one other person before me (Roderick Hoffman – who had since visited some parkruns again). However when I moved from the UK to Australia, parkruns were fewer and far between than the UK so the speed at which I picked up new courses dwindled somewhat. This meant that others were able to both catch and surpass me in this challenge (I assume without knowledge of this, they just had the same epiphany moment as me!)
In the spirit of parkrun, well done to you all for getting there before me or being ahead of me in this charge. It was never really the challenge to be the first, rather just to achieve it for myself, so it takes nothing away from what I am trying to do.

EXCLUSIONS:
Since the profile of the Hoffman Club has increased over the years, it has become inevitable that some people have strived to become members purely to tick off membership to a club that is unachievable for long-standing parkrunners. Tourism in parkrun is one of the great ways that runners can experience being part of a larger community, and is something that is encouraged by Hoffman Club members, however the transparency and honesty of a runner’s tourism is something that I feel is linked to the whole-hearted ethos of parkrun in general.
Many believe that the Hoffman Club members do not contribute to parkrun by not volunteering (which is untrue if you were to check profiles above), or that they run under multiple barcodes to ‘cheat’ the system (which again I can say is untrue for any of the Hoffman Club members I am personally in touch with). While I can say this with certainty for most members, it has come to my attention that fake profiles with different barcodes are indeed starting to appear, which damages the reputation of the group as a whole. Where identified, these individuals will not be listed above and will not be considered for inclusion into the Hoffman Club.
